The French Queens Perfume

The French Queens Perfume:

First burn Chips of Cypress in the Chamber a pretty while, the doors and windows being shut. 

Then take 

Damask Rose water, a pint  

white Sugar Candy, an ounce 

put them into a perfuming pan and let them boyl softly on Embers 

Indian or Yellow Incense

As already mentioned, the incense-sticks are everywhere prepared according to fairly consistent and usually very old regulations. Our present incense-sticks consist mainly of the same ingredients as the fumigants of the ancients. Many years ago they were called Oiselets de Chypre and in the old pharmaceutical. Works is a mixture of the then known rubber resins.

 Indian or yellow incense

• Powdered Sandalwood 1 Kilogram
• Powdered benzoin resin 1 1/2 kilogram
• Tolu balsam 1/4 kilogram
• Santalwood oil 24 grams
• Takes cassie oil 24 grams
• Grams of clove oil 24 grams
• Nitrate of Potash (saltpetre) 100 grams

These substances are kneaded with a sufficient amount of gum tragacanth to a stiff mass
