Various Magnolia Formulas

Magnolia is compounded from flower oils and synthetics in which jasmin and rose predominate. A heavy and oriental type mixture of jasmine, tuberose, verbena, oakmoss, balsam of Peru, rose, lemon, lily, and ylang ylang.

Magnolia (Extrait de Magnolia):

• Extract of orange flower 2 qts 
• Extract of rose 4 qts 
• Extract of tuberose 1 qt 
• Extract of violet 1 qt 
• Heliotropin 1 oz 
• Oil of lemon 15 grains 
• Oil of citronella Java 1 dram

Magnolia:

• Lemon Oil 1/4 dr
• Benzaldehyde 3/4 dr
• Tuberose 1 oz  15 dr
• Violet 2 oz
• Orange Flower 4 oz
• Rose 8 oz

Essence of Magnolia
Spirituous extract of orange-flower pomatum 1 pint, of rose pomatum 2 pints, of tuberose pomatum 1/2 pint, of violet pomatum 1/2 pint; essential oil of citron 2 drs., and essential oil of almonds 10 drops.



Magnolia:

• Extract of neroli 1200,0
• Extract of rose 2400,0
• Extract of tuberose 600,0
• Extract of violet 600,0
• Oil of lemon 15 drops
• Oil of bitter almond 50 drops

Infuse for 2 weeks.

Extract of Magnolia:

• 1 pint Extract of tuberose 
• 1 pint extract of orange flower
• 1 pint extract of violet 
• 1/2 pint extract of rose
• 1/4 pint Tincture of musk 
• 1 oz Oil of cedrat 
• 1 drachm almonds
• 4 ounces Rose-water, triple 

An imitation of a delightful fragrance that will be found excellent.

Imitation Essence of Magnolia:

• 1 pint Spirituous extract of orange-flower pomatum
• 2 pints spirituous extract of rose pomatum
• 1/2 pint spirituous extract of tubereuse pomatum
• 1/2 pint spirituous extract of violet pomatum
• 2 drams Essential oil of citron
• 2 drops Essential oil of almonds
